The Library and Knowledge Services team offers training to enable you to locate and evaluate information more effectively. Training is available on Information Skills, Critical Appraisal or Health Literacy. Our training sessions can be delivered on an individual basis or to groups. Training is currently delivered via Microsoft Teams. 

In our Information Skills sessions we can assist in constructing an effective search strategy and show you how it can be applied to search healthcare databases.

In our Critical Appraisal sessions we cover the basics of critical appraisal and how to evaluate a research paper. 

In our Health Literacy sessions we raise awareness of how poor health literacy can negatively impact patient treatment outcomes and introduce communication techniques which can be used to help a patient better understand their treatment.
